Celebrating with Theo Paphitis and friends – A day to remember
Friday 24 February 2023 – a date that will be etched in my memory, forever!
Having been a business owner (just saying these words makes me want to check I’m not dreaming!) for nearly two and a half years, the rollercoaster of emotions, the journeys enjoyed, the paths explored, and the multitude of challenges faced, continue to be so worthwhile.
Celebrating success
A lover of meeting and helping people, learning and listening, the support offered at networking events by other small business owners is both reassuring and heart-warming.
To take a day to celebrate the achievement of being in business was an amazing experience. A huge thank you to Theo Paphitis and his Small Business Sunday crew for providing a day us SBS winners will never forget!

Opportunity knocks
As it was my first event, having being chosen as a Small Business Sunday winner in September 2022, I was presented with a certificate and had a picture with Theo. The opportunity to meet such an inspirational entrepreneur presented itself at the end of an amazing day at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham.
To have met long-time networking contacts as part of the day, who, until this point I had only seen via Zoom, was brilliant. To meet fellow SBS winners, soak up the business knowledge of those in attendance and learn from elite-level individuals and companies, well, I couldn’t have asked for more!
I’m already looking forward to attending again in 2024 and to meeting even more people.
Making the most of support
Being a business owner is not easy, I’ll happily admit this.
Though with the support of great people and events such as this, I’m proud to celebrate being part of the fantastic community of small businesses out there.
I would highly recommend applying for SBS on either Twitter or Instagram, as it can put you in touch with so many people and provide an opportunity to promote your business to those you may otherwise have considered out of reach.
